Independence Day is celebrated in the United States on the 4th of July. Please take into consideration the changes in trading schedule.
 

• On July 4th at 5:30 PM GMT trading futures contracts on Brent and WTI will be closed. 
• Futures on metals, E-mini S&P 500, E-mini NASDAQ 100, E-mini Russell 2000, E-mini Dow indices, CFD Softs, CFD Meats, CFD Grains and American stock CFDs will also be closed.

On ECN accounts trading spot metals, Brent, WTI, and DJI30, SP500, NQ100 indices will be closed at 11:00 PM GMT. 
 
All other instruments will be traded as usual. All the company’s services will be working as usual.

Trading will be resumed in the ordinary course on July 5th.

One tick equals 0.25 index points and costs $12.50. S&P 500 index is a stock index which includes the selected 500 US public companies with the largest market capitalization;
• #FGBL — futures contract for German long-term bonds EUROBUND;
• #CSCO (Cisco) — an American transnational company. Cisco develops and sells network equipment for large organizations and telecommunications enterprises. One of the world's largest hi-tech companies;
• COPPER — copper futures. Contract volume is 25,000 pounds (around 11.34 tons). Minimum price step is $0.0005 per pound ($12.5 per contract). Millions of investors follow the copper quotations every day. Copper was the first metal to be worked and used by man. Total world production of copper is about 16 million tons per year;
• CRUDE OIL LIGHT SWEET — Light sweet crude oil futures. The contract size is 1000 barrels (42,000 gallons). Minimum price fluctuation is $0.01 for a barrel or $10 for a contract. Products of crude oil: gasoline, heating oil, diesel fuel. The price of crude oil may also be influenced by gasoline and heating oil prices.

Last Saturday, on the 23rd of June, Grand Capital welcomed visitors at a seminar at Idi Hotel in Ujeolen, Nigeria. The event was attended by experienced traders and newcomers to the financial markets who came to learn the basics of Forex trading, receive useful advice on trade management and LAMM investment service.

The seminar was headed by Obhimon Osemudiamen, a regional representative of Grand Capital and our partner Princewill Nelson, the Fund Manager of Turbopair. Both speakers are renown traders and investors with over 10 years of experience. They prepared a special program for the visitors so that everyone could improve their financial proficiency regardless of their current level of trading skills.

The program of the event included:

1. Forex basics, terminology, and fundamental concepts;

2. Advice on trade management, useful strategies for successful trading and investing activities;

• #JNJ (Johnson & Johnson) is an American holding company that includes more than 250 subsidiaries around the world that manufacture pharmaceuticals, sanitation products, and medical equipment. Its stock is a component of the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 index;
• #XOM (Exxon Mobil Corporation) — an American company, the largest private oil company in the world. It’s one of the largest corporations in the world in terms of market capitalization ($366.98 billion as of 2017) 99.85% of its shares are publicly traded. The stocks of Exxon are a component of Dow Jones Industrial Average.
• #URALKALIY — a Russian company, the world’s largest producer of potassium. Uralkali produces approximately 20% of the world’s potash fertilizers, 80% of its output is exported. The main buyers are China, India, Russia, Southeast Asian countries, USA and Brazil;
• #GZPROMNEFT — a Russian oil company. Its operations include prospecting, development, extraction and sales of gas and oil, as well as production and sales of oil products. PAO Gazprom holds 95.68% of the company’s shares, the rest 4.32 % are freely traded. Gazprom Neft was the first company to start extraction of oil in the Russian Arctic shelf.

I’m 59 and I’m a business owner. I was introduced to Forex trading by my nephew. He taught me to open positions in Platform 4 trading platform and gradually I got interested in trading. I’m 44 and I’ve been trading for 9 years now. It’s my primary source of income. I became a trader by chance, I heard somewhere about Forex and started reading up on the subject. I’m 43 and my work is in the service sector. I enjoy poetry. I’ve been trading currency for 6 years already. When trading I try not to worry and remain calm even if something drastic happens, since any kind of excitement leads to bad decisions.
