Anyone can become a trader regardless of their country of residence or career field, and the winners of Grand Capital contests are excellent proof of this maxim. We will tell you about a businessman from Indonesia, a philosophy student from Krasnoyarsk and a trader from Ukraine, who are all united by their passion for Forex.

I’m 45 and I’ve been trading on Forex since 2012 but I hadn’t had much success until recently. I became a trader by chance, came across an ad of a training group and completed a course for beginners. I like that trading allows me to work from home and gives me the freedom of choice: when to work and how to work. I participate in contests because I want to save up the prize money for deposits for trading. Mostly I trade with major currency pairs, but my favorite instrument is NZD/USD.
When choosing a broker, the first thing that I pay attention to is how long they have been in the market. Grand Capital has been around for 11 years, that’s why I chose them. I participated in Rally Trade contest several times and even made it to the top, but I wanted to take the first place! And finally it happened! The competition was tough, sometimes my opponents broke forward by a small margin. I went to bed at night and when I woke up I saw that my GBP/USD trades went below zero. I already wanted to give up, but suddenly turned my attention to EUR/USD pair, closed my GBP/USD trades and started scalping EUR/USD. In the end I left my opponents behind and took the first place. I wouldn’t recommend newcomers to rely on chance and to wait for the trade to change its direction for the favorable one. Better to close a trade with a small loss than to blow your entire deposit.
Mohamed Subekti, Indonesia, the winner of the 425th round of Drag Trade, received real $200
- Trading experience: 2 years
- Preferred trading instruments: major currency pairs
I’m 48 and I own a store. I’m interested in all kinds of business that can potentially bring profit. I learned Forex trading on my own, read educational materials online. Also, my business colleagues showed me the ropes. I’d like to continue learning about Forex because I think it can become a financial basis for my business. I’m really pleased when a strategy brings the desired result just as I planned. I usually close trading terminal in order not to get upset when a price moves in a wrong direction.
I’m not very ambitious and sometimes I bear losses from trading. I think of a broker as my business partner, and the most important thing about partnership is trust. Grand Capital has earned an excellent reputation on the market, that’s why I chose them as my partner. I really like Grand Capital contests, because thanks to them I can earn prizes as well as train. I won Drag Trade contest on my birthday. My piece of advice for beginners is to learn more, because knowledge helps to analyze the market.
Timur Adzhimurzaev, Russia, the winner of 223rd round of Rally Trade, received $500 no-deposit bonus
- Trading experience: 5 years
I’m 28 and I work in construction and study philosophy. For the first time I got into Forex 5 years ago. I borrowed from a friend several CDs with trading lessons and Platform 4. Then I became interested in coding indicators, but due to the lack of time and programming knowledge I can’t do it on a professional level. I tweaked several indicators to match my trading manner and strategy that is based on tick volumes. I liked Rally Trade contest because it lasts only 24 hours. My trading strategy doesn’t allow trading longer than that because it requires extreme concentration and attention. If I write a robot, I would likely participate in longer contests on real accounts. I’m thankful to Grand Capital for the provided opportunity to test my skill in Rally Trade without risking real money. I wish you all success!
